At Shift4, we take pride in supporting small businesses and providing them with the tools they need for success. That’s why we launched the SkyTab Rescue Mission last year — where we awarded two deserving businesses with a complete SkyTab POS system, a $20,000 business grant, and a consulting session with our friend Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue.

What is SkyTab Rescue Mission?
SkyTab Rescue Mission is a program designed to give five lucky winners a proverbial lifeboat — whether your business has fallen on hard times or you’re trying to get the restaurant of your dreams to reach new heights.

How to Apply for a SkyTab Rescue Mission
Don’t worry – applying for a SkyTab Rescue Mission is easy. Any current bar or restaurant owner or manager can apply to the contest for a chance to win. Applicants do not need to be current Shift4 or SkyTab customers (but they can be).
The contest opens on September 3, 2024, and all applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on October 14, 2024, to be considered.
For a chance to win a Rescue Mission from SkyTab, simply complete the application. The application includes the following:
- Contact information
- Details about the restaurant
- Short video submission
- Media release requirement
What Should be Included in the Video Submission?
We want to hear your story! Record a 2-minute (or less) video about your restaurant and why it needs a SkyTab Rescue Mission. Let us know how you plan to use your grant funds if you’re selected as a winner. Do you need a remodel? More staff? A brand new menu? We want to know!

Winners of the SkyTab Rescue Mission Contest will be announced in December 2024. Take a few minutes to film a video and submit your application; you might be one of them!

How do I enter the Rescue Mission Contest?
For your chance to win a Rescue Mission from SkyTab, simply complete the application. The application includes contact information, some details about your business, a short video submission, and a media release requirement.
Am I eligible to apply for this contest?
Applicants of the SkyTab Rescue Mission contest must own or manage an existing restaurant or bar.
When will the winners of the Rescue Mission contest be announced?
Winners of the SkyTab Rescue Mission Contest will be announced in December 2024. All contest entrants will receive communications via email at this time.
What should be included in the video submission?
Your original video submission should include an explanation of why your restaurant needs a SkyTab Rescue Mission and how you plan to use the grant funds if you're selected as a winner. The video must not exceed 2 minutes in length and should not include copyrighted music that you do not own.
